Annual SME NITK Convention '21

The 2nd Annual SME NITK Convention will be held from
5th - 6th MARCH, 2021

About SME Convention 2021

SME is organising it's 2nd convention on March 5th and 6th, 2021. Due to ongoing pandemic the convention will be confined to virtual mode. The convention would serve as a great opportunity for the students of Mining and allied branches from across the country to interact with the academicians, industrialists and fellow Mining engineers.

About NITK

Established in the year 1960, NITK Surathkal is one of the oldest and pioneer NITs that were created to function as pace setters and to provide academic leadership to the technical institutions in their respective regions.

About Mining Department NITK

The Department of Mining engineering was established in the year 1984 and about 857 undergraduates passed out from the portals of Department till 2020. Several girls obtained their B.Tech Mining Degree from this Department.

The Department is having high qualified faculty members with Ph.D degrees backing with National and International exposure.With the mission of imparting quality education for meeting the needs of Mining Engineering Profession & Society, the Department is achieving its excellence through creative teaching- learning and research.

Vision of SME NITK

To explore undiscovered world of Mining and to promote budding talents in this expanse field.In principle and in practice, SME NITK and all its leadership value and seek diverse and inclusive participation within the mining and minerals community.

About SME NITK Convention '20
